3 things to do to launch your album

So you’re ready, to take launching your album seriously. Here are three things you’re going to do.

  1. Choose a release date close to GRAMMY nomination voting: This is crucial. You want to select a date that gives you enough time for promotion but gets you close to the window when GRAMMY voting occurs. This will help your album stay top of mind when the GRAMMY nomination process begins. I also recommend trying to avoid launching your album on dates when major artists are releasing theirs. This will help you stand out, particularly when it comes to the Billboard charts.

  2. Plan your social media campaign using AI: I recommend an extensive organic campaign on social (meaning non paid content), while simultaneously running a paid campaign using the new AI capabilities available in Meta to reach your target demographic.

  3. Focus on video content: This could include produced music videos or raw behind the scenes footage of the recording process. I also really like to see collaborations with other artists — so videos where two artists with their individual celebrity brands appear in one video to promote something. I think that’s quite effective.

Remember, launching an album is a big deal. It takes a lot of planning, effort, and dedication. But with the right strategy, you can make it a success.
