About Gold Sound Media

Gold Sound Media was founded in 2019 by Jonathan Eifert to address a fundamental gap in the classical music industry: exceptional artistry does not automatically generate recognition. Drawing on fifteen years of experience in classical music marketing, Jonathan built Gold Sound Media as a specialized practice in brand strategy and visibility management for classical musicians, competitions, and institutions—positioning artists for major debuts, international press coverage, and sustained career momentum.

Our work is guided by the GOLD Framework, a proprietary strategic model refined through engagements with GRAMMY-winning artists, major international competitions, and leading orchestras. We help classical musicians gain access to decision-makers who shape careers, own their brand through strategic positioning, leverage momentum by systematically transforming performances into visibility, and drive recognition through sustained content and media relations. This approach has generated 25 million webcast views for the Van Cliburn Competition, supported GRAMMY campaigns for Jessie Montgomery and the Miró Quartet, and positioned artists for debuts at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and major orchestras worldwide.

Gold Sound Media serves a select group of clients annually through two offerings: Brand Strategy, a comprehensive strategic foundation delivered as a Brand Playbook ($497), and full-service retainers providing ongoing content creation, media relations, and visibility management ($1,200–1,500/month). Based in New York City, we work with classical artists internationally.

Meet the Team

Jonathan Eifert
Founder & Chief Brand Strategist

  • Jonathan Eifert, founder and creative director of Gold Sound Media® LLC, is a visionary entrepreneur reshaping the world of classical music, opera, and the performing arts through innovative marketing strategies and community-building initiatives.

Jonathan began his career as a freelance publicist under the name Jonathan Eifert Public Relations, supporting classical musicians and arts organizations during a pivotal time when digital media was rapidly transforming the industry. Recognizing the need for a fresh perspective in marketing and public relations, Jonathan incorporated Gold Sound Media LLC in 2019, expanding services — and building out a team — to provide a comprehensive, strategic approach to arts marketing, brand development, and public relations on a global scale.

Under his leadership, Gold Sound Media has achieved remarkable milestones, including leading the GRAMMY-winning campaign for Awadagin Pratt’s STILLPOINT album, propelling composer Jessie Montgomery to win the trophy for “Best Contemporary Classical Composition,” and orchestrating the viral rise of pianist Yunchan Lim, which contributed to 25 million webcast views during the Cliburn International Piano Competition. These successes have solidified Jonathan’s reputation as a key person of influence in the performing arts.

Jonathan is also the founder of Classical Post®, a boutique media brand that reaches a global audience of 20,000 annually. Through a podcast, newsletter, and editorial content, Classical Post tells the success stories of artists in their own voices, offering evergreen insights and perspectives that transcend traditional music features. This platform serves as a bridge, connecting musicians and audiences worldwide.

Drawing from his education — a Master of Arts in Cultural Policy and Management from City, University of London, and a Bachelor of Music from Cairn University — Jonathan combines his training as a classical pianist with a global perspective on arts management. His experiences in London and New York, two major cultural hubs, have deeply shaped his strategic approach to advancing artists' careers.

Jonathan’s influence extends to the industry as a member of the Recording Academy, the organization behind the GRAMMY® Awards, where he remains connected to the forefront of artistic innovation. His commitment to empowering artists with cutting-edge strategies fuels his broader mission: to ensure that musicians maximize their visibility and impact, making their artistry resonate across communities and generations.
